Facebook seeks an individual with a background in product marketing and project management to support new and optimized ways of organizational planning across small business products and go-to-market programs. The role requires the ability to influence change across a highly matrixed business. The ideal candidate will have experience in business strategy, product marketing or business analytics. We are looking for an individual who displays an innate sense of curiosity about how things work and be passionate about helping teams operate better together. This person must be comfortable ideating on solutions to business problems, co-developing business-centric plans, advising on operational matters and identifying areas for growth across the Business Product Marketing small business organization. They will exhibit critical thinking to help our team optimize, simplify and automate the process where possible, while helping to build out best-in-class documentation and knowledge management systems to support these efforts for future cycles. Candidates must be adept at building cross-functional relationships and use their influence to align incentives across orgs, display big-picture thinking, and proven communication skills (both written and spoken) while being comfortable with ambiguity. Ideally, this person is skilled at the storytelling aspect of “selling” through slides and other communication vehicles because a large part of the role is to influence teams to adopt new organizational ways of working, while keeping cross functional partners updated on process changes and updates.

Responsibilities

  • Co-establish methods for optimizing existing or building new planning processes
  • Work closely with key cross functional partners to update on process changes designed to improve small business planning
  • Create reports, presentations and other communications on planning processes with an emphasis on storytelling to simplify, clarify and drive engagement across multiple channels
  • Track progress of engagements (multiple participating products each cycle) and help develop summary views for share-outs
  • Provide improvement ideas to existing process to our inbound program as a way to refresh and optimize user experience
  • Develop simple and easy to follow program documentation and templates to improve effectiveness and support these efforts at scale along with a central repository to house the information that can be shared or accessed broadly
  • Host workshops, training and staff presentations
  • Study new and potential trends within our industry to apply learnings to this work
  • Discover new opportunities to expand our influence across the business

Minimum Qualification

  • BA/BS degree
  • 3+ years experience in digital marketing, consulting, communications, or information technology
  • Communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience with cross functional/coordination skills
  • Experience simplifying complexity and communicating with technical, business, and external stakeholders
  • Track record of influencing behavior at a variety of levels in the organization, including cross-functional managers and teams to drive results
  • Experience setting priorities, problem solving, multi-tasking, and working independently
  • Experience contributing at both strategic and operational levels
  • Communication and presentation skills, and experience distilling complex information for unfamiliar audiences
  • Flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment

Preferred Qualification

  • Masters of Business degree
  • Small business experience
  • Understanding of our product suite, industry, and competitive landscape as it relates to small business
  • Knowledgeable in Process design
  • Management consulting experience
  • Strategic thinker (big picture - being able to connect micro steps to macro deliverables/goals)
