Jobs Overview:

We are looking for 2 talented Brand Managers with a passion for cosmetics to join our FLOWER Beauty marketing team.   FLOWER was founded by actress and entrepreneur Drew Barrymore in 2013 with the promise of delivering prestige quality cosmetics at the most affordable prices. Our ideal candidate will partner with the Senior Brand Manager and VP to manage the product marketing process from ideation to launch. This includes working closely with formula development, developing pricing & positioning strategy, partnering with creative on design on all packaging and artwork. They will champion all timelines working closely with operations to ensure that launches are executed on time and within budget.

Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, Marketing of FLOWER Beauty, these are exciting roles for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment with the ability to work autonomously.

1. Brand Manager (Operational)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the product & operational marketing process (conceptualization, oversee formula development, positioning, pricing, creative design brief and internal design process, merchandising, launch support)
  • Liaise with retailer buying team/merchants to help sell-in new product launches and promotions
  • Work closely with in-house design studio and package development team on artwork process including routing and proofreading
  • Ensure all development timetables are met, including new products and limited edition programs
  • Analyze business, competition and trends to identify product needs, gaps and opportunities
  • Prepare category sales reviews, and perform ad hoc analysis upon request
  • Spearhead all aspects of management and retailer meetings

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Have a passion for beauty 
  • 5-7 years’ experience in cosmetics marketing with an established brand with a focus on product/operational marketing
  • Thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with high ability to multitask
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with the ability to work within a matrixed team both internally and externally
  • Ability to analyze retail sales and synthesize to provide clear action points
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed
  • Problem solver who can deal with ambiguity

2. Brand Manager (Consumer Marketing)

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of the brand marketing strategy, defining the brand’s clear strategies and messaging in a cohesive manner to all touchpoints
  • Act as point person for all internal and external teams relating to the brand launch and ongoing marketing and product development activities
  • Partner with internal teams (Creative, Digital/Social) and external agencies (content production, PR) to ensure all product/seasonal activations are planned/executed on schedule and to budget
  • Participate in retailer meetings with regards to the marketing support plan
  • Support creative development on the artwork process inclusive of concepting, routing and proofreading.
  • Research and analyze market and competitive trends to identify product needs, gaps and whitespace opportunities.
  • Drive sampling, education, and events calendar with a deep understanding of programs fostering the highest ROI.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A passion for beauty, following latest industry trends, influencers, and an interest in wider pop culture and its impacts on our industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study, Marketing preferred
  • 5-7 years of experience in beauty marketing with a focus in consumer marketing / brand building
  • Digitally savvy
  • Strong organizational and communications skills with the ability to work within a matrixed team, both internally and externally
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed
